Learning How To Make Your Starting Chain

Okay so know you have learned to make your slip knot. Let's move on.

Step 1: Make your slip knot or in my case I am going to tie mine on.

Yarn over
Pull Through

Step 2: Take the yarn that is still attached to your skein and wrap it over your hook and pull the loop through.

This is now the beginning of your starting chain. Every project will have a starting chain, no matter whether you are working in rounds or rows.
Now I would like for you to make 20 of these so that when we begin the next lesson of single crochet you will be able to better see what the finished project will look like. Also I will begin to use abbreviations so make sure to see the bottom of this post so you will understand them.

(yo) = yarn over
