Jesus Descended Before Ascension

Part 3 - Descension

There is much debate between authorities on the descension.  Some say that Jesus descended into hell others say he descended into Paradise, which some say was a part hell and where many of the saints went.
The only specific reference of where Jesus went was here:
Eph 4:9-10
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
The whole point though is this: Jesus descends to the spirits because before his death their sins had only been covered by the blood, so they were still unworthy to be in the presence of God. But when Jesus died it washed away their sins.
